Royal Tour of North America: Day 10 - Kate Middleton Wears Floral Jenny Packham to Polo Match

Pattern! Open toed shoes! Bare legs!
We feel like we're making progress here, Kate.
Real progress.

Don't get us wrong, we think you pretty much always look chic, but you don't always look your age or, simply, as attractive as you could.

We love this floral Jenny Packham because it not only does justice to Kate's ultra trim figure, but also because it makes her look young and happy and all that jazz.

Outfit win!

Oh, and Wills? This is the best we've seen you look all tour. Props.

Kate's pale pastel floral dress is the hand-painted chinoiserie De Gournay from Jenny Packham's Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

The strappy, open-toed taupe sandals that the Duchess wore to the polo match are the LK Bennett Silver Sandal in Taupe. Kate also wore her monogrammed bracelet, Kiki Mcdonough citrine drop earrings, and the L.K. Bennett Natalie straw box clutch, which we've seen many times before.

Royal Tour of North America: Day 8 - Kate in Yellow, Arriving in Calgary

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Nathan Denette

After spending the night in a remote cabin that had been retro-fitted especially for their visit, William and Kate headed to a chalet in Lake Louise to change and get ready for the day ahead. Arriving in Calgary they had to deal with some ridiculous wind that wreaked havoc with Kate's flirty dress, and also spent time with an adorable cancer patient whose wish it was to meet a Princess.

So we finally get some colour and, yet, we're not really feeling it. This dress is nice and all. Cheery and summery, but it feels kind of old. Kind of...Little House on the Prarie or Sister Wives or something. Maybe its the high neckline and those fabric-covered buttons. We think Kate's yellow Jenny Packham could have benefitted from some personal styling like a chic belt.

The dress above is similar in style to the yellow
primrose dress that Kate wore.

Accessories included the L.K. Bennett Sledge2 nude pumps and Natalie straw clutch, as well as the Kiki Mcdonough citrine drop earrings and the unidentified diamond-by-the-yard bracelet.

Royal Tour of North America: Day 7 - Slave Lake

Today was supposed to be a day off for William and Kate, but instead the royals decided to visit the town of Slave Lake in Alberta, which has been ravaged by fire. This has to be one of our favourite Kate looks so far.

via The Daily Mail

Kate looked chic in those cropped navy J Brand 811 Mid Rise Skinny Jeans, her Dolce Vita slingback espadrilles, a still-to-be-ID'd ruffle blouse and the navy Smythe blazer she wore when leaving Heathrow.

Kate was wearing the same Linda Camm belt she has sported before.

UPDATE: 08-07-11 - Pied A Terre posted the following on their Facebook:
"There seems to be some confusion over Kate Middleton's shoes. To clarify there are pictures of her wearing both Imperia (last seasons style) and Ivy P (this seasons style). They are very similar, practically identical. For those who love this look, Ivy P comes in black and cream (£75). However online its only available in cream at present...check the website for more stock."

We're still not convinced the above shoes are the Ivy P,
rather they look like the Imperia, but we'll let it go.

If anyone can ID this ruffle blouse it would be much appreciated.
We've practically gone blind trying to source it.

Royal Tour of North America: Day 6 - Yellowknife

Wills and Kate are in Yellowknife today.
The Prince participated in a street hockey game and from the result
its obvious that a puck and stick isn't Wills' strong suit.
We're liking the Cambridge jerseys -- poor
Will, he seems to always be second in line.

Kate's dress is the Bullet Dress by Malene Birger, now sold out at Selfridge's. Pretty if not a stand out. Where is some Christopher Kane neon when you need it?! The Birger dress is made of silk mix linen and features a green banded waist, perfect for reminding us just how tiny Kate's waist really is. The strong shoulders, pleating on the skirt and the high, round neckline also suit the Duchess' frame.

Accessories: L.K. Bennett Sledge2 nude pumps, mystery nude clutch
(please, someone help us out with this one!) and Kiki Mcdonough citrine drops.

Kate's face is priceless in the pic above.
Maybe she's not used to seeing Wills' miss?

Later on Kate got set for some wildnerness activites including a canoe ride (the royals actually seem to like this kind of stuff--yeah, we don't really get it either). Back on the scene were the J Brand jeans and Sebago boat shoes from yesterday, paired with a snap-button shirt and an interesting belt.

Kate's belt is by Kenyan designer Linda Camm

For the canoe ride Kate added a jacket and an Aquascutum check scarf.

William and Kate were gifted a set of diamond-covered bears from Harry Winston. He got cufflinks, she got a brooch, they were made from Canadian diamonds. We're still stuck on the fact that they are freakin' bears. Really? They couldn't have figured out a better design? We're guessing these will be relegated to the vault.

Then William and Kate were made honorary Rangers, whatever that means. Wills was cute, though, helping Kate put on her red sweater and they're apparently spending the night in the woods getting all romantical.

Royal Tour of North America: Day 5 - William and Kate Land in Yellowknife

Hair tamed and straightened, and back in a skirt (or dress), Kate Middleton arrived in Yellowknife this evening. Gone were the adorable humidity-havoced curls and jeggings and back was the polish we've come to expect from the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate also wore the same Ted Baker trench, Kiki Mcdonough citrine drop earrings and mystery navy pumps she was seen sporting earlier in the day.

Royal Tour of North America: Day 5 - Charlottetown, PEI

Braving Charlottetown's rain and humidity (you can really tell Kate's hair is actually curly today!), William and Kate participated in quite a few activities this afternoon including a dragon boat race. Kate changed out of her earlier McQueen and into a pair of cropped J. Brand 811 skinny jeans, Dolce Vita slingback wedges, and the Jinan navy trench from that we've seen before, pre-pre-wedding.

We also saw Kate as the proud wife...

...snapping her own pics as Prince William completed helicopter maneuvers.
Kate added a red scarf and her sapphire earrings to her jeggings look.
We're not even going to speculate on the white shirt she's wearing underneath.

Later William and Kate participated in that dragon boat race (Wills won) and we got to see a hug from the couple. We love seeing this side of Kate and the royals--real, laidback, happy.

Kate sported a Nike windbreaker, her Kiki Mcdonough citrine earrings and
Sebago deck shoes (thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge Style for the shoe ID!)

What Was Kate Middleton Wearing at the Irish Guard Medal Parade? McQueen!

There were epaulets! Shiny gold buttons! And a fabulous clutch to boot!
Can you tell we're really, really, really feeling Kate Middleton's navy, military-inspired Alexander McQueen coat and dress for the Irish Guard Medal Parade? Like, really, really, really feeling it.

This is the Kate we love -- classic but fresh, stylish but appropriate.
Seriously, we think she hit the nail on the head.

Sarah Burton's Pre-Fall collection for McQueen was full of military inspiration but it appears that Kate's outfit was custom. (McQueen has confirmed both garments are theirs).

The Duchess of Cambridge carried a drool worthy blue box clutch from Anya Hindmarch. The Marano is made of shagreen, AKA real stingray.

The ID of Kate's navy pumps remain a mystery, although they do look like her black Pradas we don't think they're the same design. We'd love to know your thoughts.

Kate's uber cute fascinator is by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and the Duchess was also wearing her Kiki Mcdonough citrine earrings again. Some new pieces of jewelry included a Shamrock brooch and a monogrammed gold charm bracelet. The brooch has been worn by other members of the royal family like Princess Anne and apparently is loaned out by the Irish Guards Regiment.

Kate Middleton Wears White at the Epsom Derby

So, we have to tell you that this new directive to call Kate Middleton by her new name--Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge--is proving a tough one for us. We'll likely be going back and forth for some time to come. Anyway, Kate, Catherine, whatever you'd like to call Prince William's lovely bride, showed up at the Epsom Derby this weekend to root for the Queen's horse (the horse came in a respectable third.)

Yeah, yeah, we know, let's get to the important stuff. What was Kate wearing? The Duchess, clearly still in blushing bride mode, turned up at the races in white--a floaty Reiss dress topped by a jacket with nehru collar and a brown fascinator (we're not always the biggest fans of headgear in general, but we like this one). Kate's jacket is the Nessie tweed blazer by Joseph (seen above), available for £460.00 at Selfridges.

Updated: It has now been confirmed that
Kate's Epsom dress is the same one we
initially reported, Reiss' Peacock.

KMidd showed her L.K. Bennett love again with neutral accessories from the brand -- a pair of nude platform pumps (the L.K. Bennett Sledge2 Courts, £175.00) and a straw box clutch (L.K.'s Natalie Clutch, £140.00). Kate also sported the Kiki Mcdonough citrine drop earrings we've seen before.

Kate's Epsom hat is from Whiteley.
We also liked seeing the Duchess' hair up.
A refreshing change.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie wore
polka dots and floral.

And Sophie of Wessex had a pretty hat.

Kate Middleton in Navy Amanda Wakeley at Darwen Academy

Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared at Darwen Academy on a rain soaked day that clearly tested the hold of Kate's signature blowout. On this day Kate chose a half-up style, a navy suit by Amanda Wakeley and a perma-smile that seems to be proclaiming that she's not only ready for her royal duties but will relish them.

At first glance the suit seems a bit...safe, but we like the detailing like the hook and eye clasps of the jacket. The block-heeled shoes, however, we could have done without.

Sure, we understand someone on their feet for several hours needs something comfortable but Kate's L.K. Bennett Art heels seem to be veerying into granny territory. As in Wills' granny, QE II.

Kate's clutch--which we're thinking may be Anya Hindmarch--we definitely like.
KMidd's earrings are the Kiki Mcdonough Citrine Drops.

Kate Middleton Launches a Rescue Boat in Anglesey

The face that launched a thousand ships? Maybe. What Kate Middleton is, definitely, is the soon-to-be-newest member of The Firm. For one of their first public appearances together as an engaged couple Prince William and Kate Middleton chose an event on the Welsh island of Anglesey, where Wills works as a rescue pilot and where the newlyweds will try to melt into the background after their April wedding. We'll see how well that works out for them.

Anyhoo, the future Mrs. Prince William (or Catherine, as I suppose we're to call her) was all smiles despite the blustery wind. Showing that she's a frugal fashionista Kate recycled the handsome Katherine Hooker military-style "London Contrast" Shetland herringbone overcoat she was sporting. KMidd was photographed in the then-longer coat at the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2006.

We also really like Kate's chic brown velvet fascinator, which featured pheasant feathers (What can we say? We love feathers almost as much as we love chocolate--hey, we said almost!) and the insignia of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, according to the Daily Mail. The fascinator is from Wiltshire-based Vivien Sheriff Millinery and appears to have been in Kate's possession for some time and not made expressly for the occassion.

Kate's earrings are the Kiki Mcdonough Citrine Drops, her clutch by L.K. Bennett and her brown suede ankle boots by Russell and Bromley.
